Our Father's love

Good day readers, here's a piece that reminds us of our father's unconditional love for us, to remind us that, even when we try to drift away, he keeps chasing after us.., that's how much he loves us

It was about evening time, I noticed my master was worried, he was always looking behind us, afar off, I wondered what he was looking for, until He began a headcount.., I was so sure it was a waste of time as every time he did this, he ended up smiling in defeat as his instincts was always wrong😋
.... But this time, I searched for the smile but couldn't find it, I immediately knew there was trouble😰

Okay! We are the 99 sheeps left behind in search of the 1, and here's what happened from our point of view😉

When the master confirmed one of us was missing, he quickly took the remnant of us to a safe place in the open country and went in search of our brother🏃

He was in so much tension, I could see the worry in his eyes. He loved every one of us so much, I kept pondering to myself how he went missing, this had never happened before, we loved the master so much too

I moved around to see which it was that went missing and it was of little surprise that it was one amongst the newest members in the fold given birth to not so long ago, and he doesn't really know the master's voice yet.

In our waiting, we also witnessed temptations as thieves would pass by and try to make sounds like our master's, but then our master had trained us to know when its him, those sounds were definitely not our master's..

We had to wait till almost midnight for him to return with the lost sheep, yet we waited!
Alas we could spot them from afar, our brother and our master, we bagan to celebrate withing ourselves

The lost sheep's point of view

I was only a new sheep added to the fold, I loved my master but still had difficulty recognizing his voice

Just as we descended the mountains,our master sat down to rest, meaning it was automatically time to rest too, but I wasn't feeling tired so I took a walk into the bush unnoticed

On my way, I met this new master with much more sheeps, they looked happier and seemed to enjoy more freedom, so I decided to join them, i thought my master wouldn't notice me, i mean, what's one sheep compared to 99, i had found freedom!

We kept moving farther and farther away from my master, and once it was sunset, my new master did a headcount and I was left out.., he chased me away and I was left alone in the cold,., it dawned on me, my master would have acted very differently.

I didn't know my way back, I kept wandering about till my master came for me,
I wasn't expecting to see him
And the moment my eyes met his, I knew it
I seriously thought I was lost forever
I felt so much love seeing my master
I didn't know he loved me that much to come all the way just for me
He chased me down
Fought till I was found
Leaving my 99 brothers behind

No matter how far we think we're gone, he's yet looking for us, waiting for us to return to him, to come back home, there's no way he'll turn back a returning sheep, remember the prodigal son too?, a party was done in his name when he returned, same is done in heaven, when a lost soul decides to walk back to Christ....
